As the first Skamania County resident in over 85 years to serve in the Washington State Legislature, I'm proud to serve as your legislator in the 17th District, which includes parts of Clark and Skamania Counties.
Being a fourth-generation resident of Southwest Washington, I am looking forward to serving every corner and issue of our district. We will continue to work on schools, mental health issues, protecting and providing resources for our police, our housing crisis, and many other issues which greatly need attention within our district.
I support strong infrastructure and I know we can't grow our economy without infrastructure that works. That's why I will advocate for our wants and needs and serve as a voice for our community. I will work to bring the best solutions for everyone in our district and will always have an open-door policy.
Please reach out to me if you have ideas, concerns, or questions. I would love to hear from you! It is my honor to serve you in Olympia and represent the great people of the 17th District.

While the majority party continues passing tax increases and frustrating policies that make life more expensive for Washingtonians, House Republicans are calling for real tax relief and policies to help alleviate financial burdens for struggling families, students, small business owners, and the most vulnerable. We also continue standing in opposition to a state income tax, which would hurt Washington families and eliminate one of our state’s biggest competitive advantages.
Learn more about House Republican tax relief proposalsCrime continues to surge in our communities and throughout Washington. Criminals feel emboldened, while law enforcement feels unsupported because of the police reform bills passed by the majority party in 2021. These bills caused a lot of confusion and had serious consequences for public safety. While state lawmakers fixed some of these problems in the 2022 legislative session, there is still work to be done. I strongly support our law enforcement and public safety should not be a partisan issue.
Doing more to make our communities safe for everyoneWe have many great state employees and their work to deliver programs and services to Washingtonians is vital. However, we continue to see too many instances of high-profile failure in state agencies. We all know people who have been personally impacted by these failures. We must hold the governor and other statewide elected officials accountable for their outcomes. We need commonsense legislation that helps all Washingtonians. We must work together to correct the mistakes by the current governor and other state officials and agencies.

One of my top priorities is updating schools and school infrastructure. I also believe transparency in our education system empowers families and helps to build trust. We all need to come to together to ensure our students are getting the support they need to be successful in school and life.
