Welcome to my legislative website. Thank you for allowing me to serve you in Southwest Washington. It is an honor to be a part of the state Legislature. I’m here to serve the people of my community and throughout the 17th District. Here you can learn more about me and the things I’m working on as your state representative. As the first Skamania County resident in over 85 years to serve in the Washington State Legislature, I’m proud to serve as your legislator in the 17th District, which includes Skamania County, Goldendale, White Salmon, Bingen, and other parts of Klickitat County, Camas, Washougal, part of Vancouver, and parts of rural Clark County.

Being a fourth-generation resident of Southwest Washington, I’m dedicated to serving every corner and issue of our district. We will continue to work on schools, mental health issues, protecting and providing resources for our police, our housing crisis, and many other issues that greatly need attention within our district.

I support strong infrastructure and I know we can’t grow our economy without infrastructure that works. That’s why I advocate for our wants and needs and serve as a voice for our community. I’m working to bring the best solutions for everyone in our district and my door is always open.

My Priorities

Working to make Washington more affordable

As the majority party keeps advancing tax hikes and policies that drive up costs for Washingtonians, House Republicans are pushing for meaningful tax relief and reforms to ease financial pressure on struggling families, students, small businesses, and those most in need. We also remain firmly opposed to a state income tax, which would harm Washington households and remove one of our state’s strongest economic advantages.

Prioritizing the safety of our communities

Crime continues to rise in our communities and across Washington. Offenders feel increasingly empowered, while law enforcement officers feel overlooked by the Legislature. I strongly stand with our law enforcement, and public safety should never be a partisan matter. House Republicans are advocating for practical, common-sense solutions to strengthen safety in our communities. I will continue fighting to improve public safety in all our neighborhoods.

Doing more to make our communities safe for everyone

Empowering students and parents for better results

As challenges in our education system persist for many different reasons, it is more important than ever for parents to stay informed about what is taking place in their children’s classrooms. A key priority for me is improving our schools and modernizing educational facilities. I also believe greater transparency in education strengthens families and fosters trust. We must work together to make sure every student receives the support they need to succeed both in school and beyond.

Managing forests for long-term success

Forests touch nearly everything: public safety, jobs, school funding, climate outcomes, local economies, and state budgets. Yet too often, decisions about timber are shaped by politics and emotion rather than shared facts. The result is predictable: higher wildfire risk, unstable funding for rural communities, and policies that satisfy no one. We must find a better solution that brings real, long-term results.
